Anyone here remember in The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, when they rebuilt that '67 Mustang with an RB26DETT in place of a typical muscle car motor?
Well, I think I just found that Mustang's coupe-utility cousin.
Searching on Goo-Net, I came across this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the Ford Other section.
I looked at the details and saw the displacement being listed as 3.0L.
I thought 'that must be a mistake'.
Then, I looked at the picture of under the hood.
It's no mistake. I'm fairly sure that's a Toyota 2JZ-GTE under that Ranchero's hood.
What do you guys think? '71 Ranchero and a 2JZ-GTE. Good combination or a terrible one?

I'm sure it moves it quicker than what was in there.

RB26DETT sounds like a God Damned Star War's droid

Well, the 71 that I had (my first car, actually) had a 302 which I think had 210HP. What do we think the 2JZ-GTE puts out?

I like that it looks completely unassuming.

Not a 71. That's either a 72 or a 73-76 with 72 bumpers.

Best mental image ever. An X-wing with an RB sticking out where R2D2 should be.

Definitely more than that. It put out 100 more hp in the Supra, stock. This probably isn't stock anymore.

I lIke how the discription says large displacement even though it's smaller than what probably came stock. Also I'm gonna say for 36 grand Crack to the highest Pipe

Not sure, apart from the Gentleman's Agreement of 280 PS, 333 lb/ft.

Interesting. I'd reckon it's a bit lighter than the V8, too....
